One writer. Many hats.

Words & Ideas has always been a one-person business, and that person is me, Susan Sharpe. I wrote poetry as a child. Studied painting and sculpture in college. Sang for francs in the Paris metro. And wrote and performed skits as part of a two-woman comedy team in Los Angeles. After working as a publicist for budding rock bands in Boston, I finally convinced a hotshot creative director at an ad agency to hire me as a cub copywriter. Over the next decade, I worked for three more agencies and won numerous creative awards. In 1991, I started my own business and have never looked back.
I like wearing all the hats. Read more.
